Bullet-wound Indian smuggler held from Moghbazar hospital

DHAKA, May 5, 2025 (BSS) – The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today arrested a bullet injured Indian smuggler from a hospital in the capital city’s Moghbazar area.

The arrested was identified as Sujon Barmon, of Battoli Village of Agartala,  India.

In a press release, the BGB said a patrol team of the paramilitary force arrested a bullet wound Indian national from a hospital in Moghbazar where he was undergoing treatment.

The Indian smuggler Sujon with bullet wounds entered Bangladesh territory through Kosba border in Brahmanbari with the help of a syndicate, it said.

BGB handed Sujon over to Hatirjhil Thana and a process of taking legal action against him was underway.
