AL man held with weapons, hand bombs in Bhola

BHOLA, May 6, 2025 (BSS) - A local Awami League leader was arrested during a joint operation by the Bangladesh Coast Guard and police in Sifli village of Char Samaiya union in Sadar upazila here early this morning.

The arrestee, Md. Mainuddin Molla, 37, son of late Shahjahan Molla, is the cultural affairs secretary of the fallen fascist Awami League's Char Samaiya union unit.

On information, the joint forces raided Mainuddin's residence in Sifli village around 3:00am. During the operation, they recovered six hand bombs and several locally made weapons, including two machetes, according to a Coast Guard press release.
