DHAKA, May 6, 2025 (BSS) – A court here today ordered to confiscate lands, three flats, a seven-storey under construction building and six bank accounts of former Air Force chief Shaikh Abdul Hannan.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain passed the order upon a petition of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC).

The properties of Hannan ordered to be seized are: two flats of 699 and 823 square feet on the 6th floor of a six-storey building in the capital’s Khilkhet area, a flat of 2250 square feet at Mirpur DOHS, seven-storey under construction building at the residential housing project for military officers at Mirpur and 7.84 decimal land at Rupganj in Narayanganj.

In the petition, the Commission said that they have found in its inquiry that Hannan amassed huge assets beyond known sources of income after his and his family members’ names by misusing his power, irregularities and corruption.

The Commission needs a court order regarding confiscation of the assets belonging to Hannan and his family members as the properties cannot be transferred and transported to another place.
