Case filed against ex-minister Zahid Malek, others in Manikganj

MANIKGANJ, May 6, 2025 (BSS) - A case was filed against former health minister Zahid Malek and other Awami League leaders and some police officers including the then SP Golam Azad Khan and the then OC of Manikganj Sadar Police Station Habil Hossain.

Coordinator of the Anti Discrimination Student Movement Meherab Hossain filed the case against 217  people with the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court today mentioning the name of the former health minister Zahid Malek, former MP of Manikganj -1 constituency Naimur Rahman Durjoy, district Awami League president also the former chairman of the Manikganj District Council Advocate Golam Mohiuddin, the then SP Golam Azad Khan, OC Manikganj Sadar Police Station Habil Hossain and some other police officers. 

Besides mentioning 217 people, another 100/ 150 unknown persons were also included in the case.

Accepting the case the court ordered the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Manikganj Sadar Police Station to investigate the matter.
