Cohorts of ousted autocrat conspiring to create chaos centering fighter jet crash: Tuku

TANGAIL, July 23, 2025 (BSS) – BNP Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku today said the cohorts of the ousted autocrat are trying to incite chaos in the country capitalizing the fighter jet crash incident in the city’s Uttara area on Monday. 

When the entire nation mourns the tragic crash into Milestone School and College, the cohorts of the ousted autocrat are attempting to capitalize the incident to incite chaos in the country, he said.

Tuku made these remarks at a 'Doa Mahfil' organized for the victims and injured of the jet crash at Mizanur Rahman High School in Tangail.

Tuku emphasized the need for “responsible leadership” in Bangladesh at this critical juncture saying “a strong democratic government is established through elections”. 

He mentioned that BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is providing leadership from abroad, and under his directives, leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations swiftly engaged in rescue operations following the plane crash.

Mahmudul Haque Sanu, former Member Secretary of the District BNP Khandaker Rashed Alam Rashed, Convener of District Juba Dal Shafiqur Rahman Shafiq, former Organizing Secretary of District BNP and Nurul Islam VP, among others, were present.
