70 Martyrs’ Monument on July Uprising to be built in Savar and Ashulia

SAVAR, July 23, 2025 (BSS) – A total of 70 July ‘Martyrs’ Monument’ (Shaheed Smriti Stombo) will be constructed at Savar and Ashulia   to pay respect to the Martyrs of 2024 July Uprising.

The places have already been selected on behalf of the district council for construction of the monuments.

The district council so far has been identified 40 spots at Ashulia of the martyrs of the July Uprising where the monuments will be constructed.

“Of the total, 30 monuments will be constructed at Savar and 40 monuments will be constructed at Ashulia with the financial assistance of Dhaka district administration”, said Voice of July Central Committee President Mostafa Kamal Mukul.

Later, the number of monuments may be increased. But primarily the spot has been identified for construction of the monuments.

“The homage will be paid to the Bir Shaheed (Hero Martyrs) at these monuments on the fascism ousting day on August 5 and the works are already underway”, he added.

Red circle has been drawn after selecting the places.

Chief coordinator of the list of Martyrs and Injured verification of July-August Mass Uprising Tamim Khan, Dhaka district council chief executive officer M Mamun Khandaker, Ashulia revenue circle assistant commissioner (land) Sadia Akhter, among others,   attended at the event.
