DHAKA, July 25, 2025 (BSS) – Police have arrested three members of banned Chhatra League when they were taking preparation of staging demonstration at Jurain area under Shyampur police station.

The arrestees are identified as Arian Saikat, 21, M Omar, 20 and Yamin Hossain Tarun, 20.

Acting on a tip-off that a total of 5-6 members of the banned Chhatra League were taking preparation to stage anti-government procession  in front of Mashalla hotel at Khondoker road in Jurain this morning and Shyampur thana mobile and special duty team arrested three persons during their drive,  said media and public relations department of the DMP deputy police commissioner Muhamad Talebur Rahman.

Police is taking legal action against them, said the release.
