Air Force pays tribute to Sayan's grave in Lakshmipur

LAKSHMIPUR, July 29, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Air Force today paid floral tribute at the grave of Sayan Yusuf, a student who died in a training aircraft crash at Milestone School and College in Dhaka.

A delegation, on behalf of the Bangladesh Air Force Chief paid the tribute at Sayan's grave in Lakshmipur this afternoon.

A 13-member delegation led by Wing Commander Md Rojaul Haque went to Bashikpur area of Sadar Upazila of the Lakshmipur to pay tribute to Sayan. After placing wreaths, they participated in a prayer. 

Later, they went to Sayan's house and expressed deep condolences to his family members.

Sayan's father sought prayers from the countrymen for his child. 

Wing Commander Md Rojaul Haque said, "An investigation committee has been formed into this accident. We will take action in light of this. This is a very sad incident." 

Sayan Yusuf, a seventh-grade student, was seriously burned when a training aircraft crashed into a building of Milestone School and College in the capital. 

Sayan died around 3:30 am the next day while undergoing treatment at the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute.
