Another accused remanded in Sohag killing case

DHAKA, July 29, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today placed one Sagor on a four-day remand in the case filed over the brutal killing of scrap metal trader Lal Chand Mohammad Sohag in the capital's Mitford area.
 
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Partha Bhadra passed the order as police produced the accused and pleaded to place him on a 10-day remand in the case.
 
Sohag, 43, was hacked, beaten, and stoned to death on July 9 at Mitford in the Old part of the city. A day after the incident, Sohag's sister Monjuara Begum filed the case with the Kotwali Police Station.
