DHAKA, July 29, 2025 (BSS) - A delegation of BNP met with the family of Lamia Akhter Sonia, a guardian who tragically lost her life in the Milestone School and College plane crash in Uttara.

Speaking to the media after the visit, Amir Khasru expressed profound grief and sorrow over the loss. 

Lamia Akhter Sonia, a mother of a child who died after receiving severe burn injuries, was identified through DNA testing five days after the July 21 crash.

The delegation led by BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury went to meet the bereaved family in Uldaha area Uttara in the capital yesterday. 

BNP Dhaka City North unit Member Secretary Mustafa Zaman, Joint Convener Mostafizur Rahman Segun, BNP leaders S M Jahangir, M Kafil Uddin and Afaz Uddin, among others, were present.
