Maherin Chow set unique example of responsibility: Rizvi

DHAKA, July 30, 2025 (BSS)- BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed has said Maherin Chowdhury, a teacher of Milestone School and College who was killed in recent jet crash, set a unique example of responsibility, compassion and teaching in the country.
 
“Any death is painful, but Meherin has set an example of self-sacrifice inspiring us to survive even amidst violence and strife. The state will remember this noble lady forever,” he said after visiting Meherin Chowdhury's house at Uttara in the city.

Rizvi met her bereaved family and expressed profound sympathy. 

Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP convener Md. Aminul Haque, member secretary Md. Mostafa Zaman, joint conveners S. M. Jahangir Hossain, M. Kafil Uddin and Akhter Hossain, Uttara Paschim Thana BNP leader Zakir Hossain, Mostafa Sarkar, and leaders of Metropolitan North and Uttara BNP and Sechchhasebak Dal were present.

Mehreen Chowdhury's husband Mansur Helal said she used to take care of all her students with love and affection like her own children. 

She has fulfilled her responsibility for the nation to the fullest, Rizvi said and hoped that the nation will remember her sacrifice.
