BNP delegation inquires about Jamaat Ameer's health at hospital

DHAKA, Aug 3, 2025 (BSS) - A delegation of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) went to the United Hospital in the capital to inquire about the physical condition of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, who is undergoing treatment there.


The delegation was sent by BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman. 


The delegation included BNP Joint Secretary General Habibunnabi Khan Sohel and another Joint Secretary General and Media Cell Member Secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie.


The members of the delegation arrived at the United Hospital this afternoon and met with Dr. Shafiqur Rahman's family members and inquired about the latest status of Dr. Shafiqur Rahman's treatment and wished him a speedy recovery.


Dr. Shafiqur Rahman's open heart surgery was successfully completed yesterday (August 2).


Doctors and Jamaat leaders said his physical condition is stable after the surgery.
