DHAKA, Aug 03, 2025 (BSS) - National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Coordinator Nasir Uddin Patwary today said the next election will be held through the implementation of the July Charter.

"We had demanded the resignation of the Election Commission employees who were involved in vote rigging, but this has not happened so far," he told reporters after a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin at Nirbachan Bhaban in city's Agargaon.

NCP's southern region chief organizer Hasnat Abdullah, joint convener Khaled Saifullah and joint member secretary Advocate Zahirul Islam Musa, among others, were present there.

Nasir Uddin Patwari said the countrymen have not been able to vote for the last 15 years. And now if someone goes to vote through the democratic process, they are obstructing that process, he added.

Joint convener Khaled Saifullah said, "Today, the CEC said that they will start the process of ensuring voting rights of expatriates soon. They will hold online briefings on this issue every 15 days. Expatriate brothers and sisters will know where and how they can vote."

Advocate Zahirul Islam Musa said, "In light of the EC's observations, we have submitted some new documents today. We hope that the EC will proceed with the next stage of our registration process."
