DMP files 1157 cases for traffic rule violations

DHAKA, Aug 3, 2025 (BSS) – As part of the ongoing campaign to bring traffic system under control, Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1,157 cases against vehicles, owners and its drivers for violating traffic rules.

The DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines during August 2 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers, according to a press release issued today. 

It said the DMP traffic police dumped 216 motor vehicles and towed 77 vehicles during the campaign against traffic rule violations.

The DMP release further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.
