DHAKA, Aug 3, 2025 (BSS) – Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) President Rakibul Islam Rakib today said no one in Bangladesh has the power to stop JCD.

“If Chhatra Dal wants, it can pull out their poisonous teeth of those who want to create instability in the country,” he said while addressing the opening ceremony of Chhatra Dal's student rally at Shahbagh intersection here.

JCD General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir moderated the rally which was joined by leaders and activists from various districts and upazilas including Dhaka since morning.

Many have national and party flags tied on their heads and foreheads. Shahbagh became abuzz with various party slogans across the rally venue. 

Traffic movement on the surrounding roads has been restricted due to security reasons.

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman addressed the rally as the chief guest virtually from London.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, former Chhatra Dal President Kazi Rawnkul Islam Shraban, former General Secretary Iqbal Hossain Shyamal were in dais.
