DMP files 1,983 cases against traffic rules violations

DHAKA, Aug 4, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1,983 cases against vehicles, owners and its drivers for violating traffic rules.

The DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines during August 3 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers, according to a press release issued today.

It said the DMP traffic police dumped 256 motor vehicles and towed 61 vehicles during the campaign against traffic rule violations.

The DMP release further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.
