Quran recitation, special prayers held at Baitul Mukarram for July Uprising martyrs

DHAKA, August 5, 2025 (BSS) - A special Quran recitation and prayers were held today at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque to commemorate the July Mass Uprising Day. 

The event was organized to pray for the eternal peace of the souls of the martyred students and people, and the speedy recovery of those injured. 

The Quran recitation began at 11am, followed by special prayers after the Zohr prayer. The prayers were led by Hafez Maulana Md Mizanur Rahman, senior imam of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque. 

Abdus Salam Khan, Director General of the Islamic Foundation, attended the ceremony as the chief guest. The Foundation's secretary, directors and deputy directors of various departments, officials, employees, and general worshippers took part in the event. 

Similarly, special prayers were also held at all divisional and district offices of the Islamic Foundation across the country.
