DHAKA, Aug 6, 2025 (BSS) - Police in a special operation arrested 17 crime suspects from different parts of Mohammadpur and Adabar Thana areas in the last two days, according to a police press release. 

Of the arrestees, 12 were apprehended from different parts of Mohammadpur Thana areas. They are: ehedi Hasan (25), Palash (23),Rana Sarkar (25), Emon (24), Ismail (20), Sabbir (22), Mohammad Ali (29), Ishtiaq (24), Asif (24), Jasim Uddin (25), Saidur (44) and Nayan Ibrahim Khalil (19). 

Two local sharp weapons (chapattis) were seized from their possessions. 

On the other hand, five people involved in various crimes were arrested in raids conducted at different areas of Adabar Police Station. The arrestees have been identified as Md. Nayan (19), Md. Osman alias Rubel (20), Md. Hasan (19), Md. Sajib (18) and Md. Russell (27).

The arrestees were accused in numerous criminal cases.
