BOGURA, Aug 6, 2025 (BSS) - A special doa mahfil was held here on the occasion of the 41st death anniversary of former Naval Chief Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan, also a former Communications and Agriculture Minister and father-in-law of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman.

Father of Zubaida Rahman, Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan sacrificed his life on this day for the sake of humanity. 

The doa mahfil was organized after Zuhr prayers at Baitur Rahman Central Mosque.

It was attended by former MP Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu, advisor to the BNP chairperson and senior vice-president of the Krishak Dal Central Committee, Bogura District BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha, former president VP Saiful Islam, acting general secretary of the district BNP and former MP Mosharraf Hossain, former convener of the district BNP Adv. AKM Saiful Islam, BNP leaders Fazlul Bari Talukder Belal, M.R. Islam Swadhin, Mahbubur Rahman Bakul, Adv. Hamidul Haque Chowdhury Hiru, Advocate Abdul Bashed, District BNP Organizing Secretary Shahid Un-Nabi Salam, KM Khairul Bashar, BNP Media Cell Rajshahi and Rangpur Divisional Coordinator Kalam Azad, Sheikh Tahauddin Nahin, Shamim Reza Shamim, Advocate Abdul Matin Mondal, Fazle Rabbi Toha, Abdur Rouf, Farukul Islam Faruk, Ashrafuzzaman Probal, Rasheduzzaman Pias, District Chhatra Dal President Habibur Rashid Sandhan Sarkar, Syed Aminul Haque Dewan Sajal, Saiduzzaman Shakil, Syed Abdul Gafur Dara, Al Amin Sarkar and Ujjal were present on behalf of 
the family. 

The doa mahfil was conducted by Pesh Imam Maulana Belayet Hossain of Baitur Rahman Central Mosque. 

Meanwhile, after Asr prayers, doa mahfil and food distribution were held on behalf of the family at Lathiganj Noorani Andha Hafizia Madrasa and Orphanage in Gabtoli Upazila.

Bogura Press Club General Secretary Kalam Azad, Mahmud Sharif Mithu, Fazle Rabbi Toha, Anwar Sadat Alo, Raseduzzaman Pias, Jobair Hossain, Kamal, Madrasa Super Abul Kalam were present. 

After the mahfil, BNP Media Cell Rajshahi and Rangpur Division Coordinator Kalam Azad provided cash assistance to the Madrasa.
