DMP files 2,172 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, Aug 07, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 2,172 cases in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.

The DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines during August 6 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers, according to a press release issued today. 

The DMP sources said that 283 motor vehicles were dumped and 75 vehicles were towed during the campaign against traffic rules violation.

It said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.
