Jamaat executive council holds emergency meeting

DHAKA, Aug 7, 2025 (BSS) - An emergency meeting of the Central Executive Council of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami was held at the organization's central office in Moghbazar on Thursday afternoon.
 
The meeting, chaired by the organization's Nayeb Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman, discussed the prevailing political situation in the country in detail.

The meeting emphasized that the main objective of the July-August mass uprising was to build a fascism-free Bangladesh, providing a legal basis for the July Charter and holding the next elections based on the July Charter. 

It called upon the people to play a united role in implementing the 7-point demands announced by Jamaat-e-Islami.

The organization's Nayeb Ameer, Secretary General, Assistant Secretary General and Central Executive Council members were present at the meeting.
