JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Aug 8, 2025 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has announced new convening committees for 17 residential halls and the Faculty of Business Studies.

The newly announced committees include six female dormitories - Nawab Faizunnesa Hall, Pritilata Hall, Hall No. 13, Fazilatunnesa Hall, Rokeya Hall, and Bir Protik Taraman Bibi Hall, said a press release jointly signed by JU JCD Convener Jahir Uddin Mohammad Babor and Member Secretary Wasim Ahmed Anik this evening.

Eleven male dormitories - Al-Beruni Hall, Shaheed Salam-Barkat Hall, AFM Kamaluddin Hall, Maulana Bhasani Hall, Bishwakabi Rabindranath Tagore Hall, Hall No. 10, Hall No. 21, Shaheed Rafiq-Jabbar Hall, Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Hall, National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall, and Mir Mosharraf Hossain Hall, it added.

Meanwhile, another press release signed by JCD’s office secretary stated that JCD President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir have nominated Abdullah Antor as office secretary and Johirul Islam as assistant office secretary as part of current JU JCD’s convening committee.

Besides, JU JCD Convener Babor said, “75 new joint conveners and 296 members have been added to the JU convening committee as part of the organizational expansion.”
