One killed after a private car crashed into Mohakhali flyover divider

DHAKA, Aug 9, 2025 (BSS) - An unidentified person aged about 45 was killed and another was injured when a private car crashed into the divider of the Mohakhali Amtali flyover at Banani in the capital early today.
 
The accident occurred around 2:30 am today when a private car at a reckless speed hit the Mohakhali Amtali flyover divider, causing a part of the private car to be twisted, police and hospital sources said.

Two passengers of the private car were injured in the accident.

One of the two injured was announced dead by the on-duty physicians after he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, while another was undergoing treatment at the Kurmitola General Hospital.
 
Inspector Mohammad Faruk, in charge of DMCH Police Camp, said that when a person was brought to DMCH in a private car accident from Mohakhali, the doctor declared him dead.
