Indian tablets worth Tk 50 lakh seized in Cumilla

CUMILLA, Aug 10, 2025 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB-10) in a drive seized huge quantity of illegal Indian Cetirizine hydrochloride tablets worth about Taka 50 lakh from the border area of Cumilla.

Lieutenant Colonel Mir Ali Ejaz, commander of the Cumilla BGB-10 Battalion, confirmed this in a press release on Sunday afternoon. 

A special BGB patrol team of Bibir Bazar BOP in Adarsh Sadar upazila conducted a drive in Palpara border area on August 9 and seized 3,31,200 illegal Indian Cetirizine hydrochloride tablets, the press release said.

The market value of these tablets is Taka 49,68,000. The seized tablets have been handed over to the customs authorities.
