DHAKA, Aug 11, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Health Affairs Secretary Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam has congratulated the leaders of the newly elected Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) saying formation of DAB committee through elections is part of practicing democracy. 

“Everyone in BNP openly believes in the opinion of everyone. After coming to power through the people's vote, this trend of democracy will continue in every aspect of the state,” he said while talking to journalists about the DAB council and the newly elected leadership today.

He said, “According to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, we have no alternative to staying united in the face of an invisible force. Therefore, it is the demand of the time to abandon the hateful attitude and express the mentality of working together.”

The BNP Health Secretary said DAB should be re-established by strengthening unity with everyone. 

At the same time, he called upon the winning council to continue practicing democracy by working in unity with the elected body.

It is the duty of every doctor believing in nationalist ideology to uphold Bangladeshi nationalism and to work together towards the same goal to move the party and the country forward.
