DHAKA, Aug 13, 2025 (BSS) - Homage has been paid through placing floral wreaths on the coffin of former vice-president (VP) of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) Professor Mahfuza Khanam while her body placed at the Central Shaheed Minar today for the citizens to pay their respects.
Acting Registrar Munshi Shamsuddin Ahammad placed a floral wreath on the deceased coffin on behalf of the DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) at the Central Shaheed Minar, said a DU release here today.
The VC Prof Dr Niaz Ahmad Khan expressed his deep shock at the death of former DUCSU VP Prof Mahfuza Khanam.
He prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul of Prof Mahfuza and conveyed his deep sympathy to her bereaved family.
Prof Mahfuza Khanam died of heart attack at a city hospital on Tuesday at the age of 79.
