Two BCL leaders arrested in anti-terrorism case

NARSINGDI, Aug 15, 2025 (BSS)- Police have arrested two union-level leaders of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) in connection with an anti-terrorism case. 

A police team from Madhabdi thana arrested them from Amdia and Meherpara unions yesterday, OC of Madhabdi thana said.

The arrestees are Saddam Hossain Onik (27), Vice President of Amdia Union Chhatra League and son of Abul Hossain from Kandail Uttar Para of the same union, and Ferdous Hasan (26), Joint General Secretary of Meherpara Union Chhatra League and son of Anwar Hossain from the area opposite Index Plaza in Bhagirathpur.

The two have been shown arrested in an anti-terrorism case. 

After legal formalities, they will be produced before the court, police said.
