DHAKA, Augt 15, 2025 (BSS) - Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) joint secretary Maminul Islam Zisan today installed three benches on the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) premises at Dhaka University (DU) to mark the 81st birth anniversary of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

Since the TSC is widely known as a vibrant hub for gatherings and exchanges of ideas, students regularly engage in social, cultural, and political discussions there. The benches were set up to make these leisure moments more comfortable.

"TSC is the heart of Dhaka University. This small effort was driven by the hope that students who come here can spend their time in comfort," said Zisan.
 
"We want these benches to symbolize the meeting of diverse thoughts and paths, and to serve as a shelter for free thinking. On this occasion, we pray for the good health and long life of our uncompromising leader Begum Khaleda Zia," he added.
