Youth electrocuted to death in Kamrangirchar

DHAKA, Aug 18, 2025 (BSS) - A young man was electrocuted to death in a 
factory in the capital's Kamrangirchar areas on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Sajib Mia,30, owner of a steel clip 
factory.

The accident occurred at his factory in Lohar Bridge area of Kamrangirchar 
around 7 pm on Sunday, police and hospital sources said.

Later, Sajib was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College 
Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead around 9pm on Sunday.

Inspector in-charge of the DMCH police camp, Mohammad Faruk, confirmed the 
matter.

The deceased's brother-in-law, Mashiur Rahman, said Sajib was electrocuted 
when he was working at his factory.

Later, the factory staff rescued him unconscious and brought him to hospital. 

He also said that the deceased Sajib hailed from a Khayer Hat village under 
Daulatkhan upazila of Bhola district.

His father, Gias Uddin, currently lives in a rented house in Lalbagh Shaheed 
Nagar area.
