DHAKA, Aug 19, 2025 (BSS) – A court here today ordered to attach a five-katha plot in Uttara  and freeze eight bank accounts of former Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin and his son Zakir Hossain Jumon.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The anti-graft body in its petition said it has found information of eight bank accounts of the father-son duo while probing allegations of money embezzlement, amassing illegal wealth against them. It also found information about the Uttara plot.

“The property should be attached and the accounts should be frozen for the sake of proper investigation,” the plea added.
