Role of Sheschhasebok Dal is crucial to reinstate democracy: Dulu

LALMONIRHAT, August 19, 2025 (BSS) - BNP central organizing secretary and former deputy minister Asadul Habib Dulu today said that the role of Jatiyatabadi Sheschhasebok Dal is very important in reinstating democracy.

"The Sheschhasebok Dal was in the forefront of all democratic movements of the country and struggled in the days of every crisis and movements with courage," he said while addressing a discussion on the occasion of the 45th founding anniversary of the organization on the Zila Sramik Dal office premises.

Chaired by the convener of Zila Jatiyatabadi Sheschhasebok Dal Abdus Sattar, the function was addressed, among others, by joint general secretary of district BNP AKM Mominul Haque, its organizing secretary Sayedul Islam Patwari alias Saju, general secretary of Poura BNP Abdus Salam and Sadar upazila Sheschhasebok Dal leader Maidul Islam.

Asadul Habib Dulu said that the role of the organization under the leadership of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and its acting Chairman Tarique Rahman would be more crucial in the struggle for protecting country's democracy.

"We are proud of our 45 years of journey and committed to reinstating democracy, ensure people's rights and building of a misrule-free Bangladesh in future," he added.   

After the meeting, a mammoth rally led by Dulu was brought out which paraded the main roads of the district town and ended coming at the Mission Crossing.
