DHAKA, Aug 20, 2025 (BSS) - A one-and-a-half-year-old child Mohammad Mahadi has died after falling into a bucket of water in the bathroom in the capital's Wari area.
The incident took place at 212/A Shah East Road under Wari Police Station around 9 pm on Tuesday, police and family sources said.

Later, the child was brought unconscious to the emergency department of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead at around 10:45 pm on Tuesday.
    
Mohammad Abul Bashar, father of the victim, said his son entered the bathroom at night when everyone in their house was busy.

Later, his son was found lying in the bucket in the bathroom, he said.

Inspector Mohammad Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police camp confirmed the deaths of the child.
