Truck driver dies in Badda road mishap

DHAKA, Aug 20, 2025 (BSS) - A driver was killed in a road accident in the capital's Badda area after losing control over it steering in the capital's Badda area. 
    
The deceased was identified as driver of a concrete mixer truck of the Akij Company Saidur Rahman, 35, son of Mohammad Azizul Haque, hailed from Ashtala Para village under Jibannagar Police Station of Chuadanga district. 

The accident occurred around 4am today when the driver lost control over the steering of the truck and crashed into the Raymond Tailors showroom adjacent to the footpath on Pragati Sarani on the Link Road in Badda, police and hospital sources said.

He was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead around 10:30 am today.
