DHAKA, Aug 26, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today framed charges against one Mohammad Ziauddin Rafi in a case lodged over instigating his alleged girlfriend actress Humaira Himu to commit suicide.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jakir Hossain passed the order, scrapping the discharge petition filed for the accused.

The court also set September 17 to start recording deposition in the case.

Himu's uncle Nahid Akter filed the case with the Uttara West Police Station on November 2, 2023, for instigating her to commit suicide.

Police after probing the case filed a charge-sheet on August 31, 2024.
