DHAKA, Aug 26, 2025 (BSS)– The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has started an investigation into the looting of white stone in Sylhet.
 
The Financial Crime Unit of the CID started the investigation following receipt of complaints of white stone looting against 50 influential people reportedly involved in looting Sada Pathar or white stone and various reports published in different newspapers.
 
Special Superintendent of Police (Media) of CID Jasim Uddin Khan confirmed the matter.
 
Appropriate legal action will be taken against all individuals and organized crime groups involved in the looting of 'Sada Pathar' with the intention of financial benefit.
