8 cops injured during protest of BUET students

DHAKA, Aug 27, 2025 (BSS) - At least eight members of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) were injured this afternoon during the protest of the BUET students. 
 
The police personnel sustained the injuries when they prevented the BUET students from going towards Jamuna, the official residence of the Chief Adviser to press home three points demand, said a press release of the Home Ministry.  
 
The injured are - DMP Ramna Zone DC Masud Alam, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADC) Rejoanul Islam, Sub Inspector (SI) Touhidul Islam, Assistant SI Farhad Ali, Constable Adib , Constable Aminul Islam, and Constable Shraban . 
 
Of them, Touhidul Islam and Adib are in critical condition.
 
The injured policemen have been admitted to Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital.
