DHAKA, Aug 27, 2025 (BSS)- The authorities of Haji Mohammad Muhsin Hall of Dhaka University (DU) today expelled one of its students named Jalal Ahmed who is accused of attempting to murder his roommate last night.
The hall authority issued the notice this noon.
Jalal Ahmed was a student of DU's Television, Film and Photography Department of 2012-13 session and resident of Haji Mohammad Muhsin Hall.
The administration issued the notice following an incident, where Jalal attacked his roommate Md. Rabiul Haque (Political science Department: 2019-20), last night causing severe injuries to his chest and left hand.
The incident took place when Rabiul asked Jalal not to make noise in the room at midnight.
Immediately after the incident, other students of the hall handed over Jalal to the police.
In this connection, the Hall administration expelled him from the hall.
Earlier, Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall Provost Md Sirajul Islam filed a case with Shahbagh Police Station in this regard.
