JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Aug 27, 2025 (BSS) - The Jahangirnagar University Election Commission will publish a photo-based voter list for the upcoming Jahangirnagar University Central Students' Union (JUCSU) and hall union elections to ensure proper identification of all voters.

The announcement came this afternoon during the appeal hearing of rejected nomination papers at the university's Senate Hall. JUCSU Election Commission Member-Secretary Professor Dr A K M Rashidul Alam confirmed the matter.

He said the Election Commission has already sent necessary information to the concerned authorities for preparing the voter list.

"We expect to publish the list with photographs before the election so that the identity of every voter can be ensured," he added.

After a long gap of 33 years, the 10th JUCSU election will be held on September 11 with six panels set to contest. A total of 11,929 students will cast their votes, including 6,102 male and 5,817 female voters.
