3,000 mutations settled in 5 months in Parbatipur

DINAJPUR, Aug 28, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 3,000 mutations have been settled in Parbatipur upazila of the district over the past five months.

During the period, the mutation and land development sector contributed Taka 4.5 crore in revenue, said Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Saddam Hossain.

Former convener of Dinajpur district BNP and ex-MP AZM Rezanul Haque said the land services in the upazila have completely changed. Service recipients are getting their expected services in less time. 

He said that despite the post of Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) remaining vacant from April to August, UNO Saddam efficiently oversaw the disposal of 3,000 mutations. 

Former Mayor of Parbatipur Municipal Council and President of Municipal BNP Alhaj M Menhazul Haque said that UNO Saddam Hossain's efforts to make administrative activities dynamic and people-friendly are being appreciated. 

He added that if such smart and people-friendly officers are appointed in every upazila of the country, the people will not suffer. 

UNO Saddam Hossain said "I have tried to provide services to the people with utmost sincerity to ensure transparency in land services and eliminate harassment."
