Health Minister Offers Eid Prayers in Narsingdi

NARSINGDI, March 21, 2026 (BSS) - Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md. 
Sakhawat Husain offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers this morning at Pirpur Eidgah Maidan in Monohardi 
upazila of Narsingdi.

Following the prayers, the minister exchanged Eid greetings with devotees and wished them well 
on the auspicious occasion.

Talking to journalists, he said that prices of essential commodities remained stable throughout 
Ramadan due to collective efforts, sparing the public from hardship. “A sense of relief has 
returned among people,” he added.

The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to public welfare, saying that initiatives 
are ongoing to bring healthcare services closer to people’s doorsteps. “We will continue to take 
further measures. We remain engaged in public service at all times, and the government is fully 
prepared to address any challenges in the health sector,” he said.

Highlighting special arrangements for the occasion, he said that improved meals have been 
provided to patients in hospitals across the country, with authorities closely monitoring their 
proper distribution.
