Law minister mourns death of Dilara Hafiz

DHAKA, March 29, 2026 (BSS) - Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Dilara Hafiz, wife of Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Bir Bikram. 

In a message of condolence, the law minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Dilara Hafiz, a former Director General (DG) of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) and former Principal of Eden Mohila College, passed away at the age of 78 while undergoing treatment at Singapore General Hospital.
