
DHAKA, March 29, 2026 (BSS) - The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 1,266 cases against traffic law violators in different areas of the capital on Saturday.
According to a DMP press release, 44 cases were filed in the Traffic-Ramna division, including 2 buses, 2 covered vans, 6 CNG vehicles and 14 motorcycles.
In the Traffic-Lalbagh division, 164 cases were filed, involving 15 buses, 5 trucks, 1 covered van, 28 CNG vehicles and 97 motorcycles.
In the Traffic-Motijheel division, 69 cases were recorded, including 10 buses, 3 trucks, 5 covered vans, 16 CNG vehicles and 20 motorcycles.
Meanwhile, 68 cases were filed in the Traffic-Wari division, involving 29 buses, 11 trucks, 4 covered vans, 7 CNG vehicles and 5 motorcycles.
Additionally, 76 cases were filed in the Traffic-Tejgaon division, including 3 buses, 2 covered vans, 6 CNG vehicles and 31 motorcycles.
The Traffic-Mirpur division recorded 209 cases, involving 12 buses, 10 trucks, 5 covered vans, 42 CNG vehicles and 105 motorcycles.
The Traffic-Uttara division filed 221 cases, including 24 buses, 7 trucks, 3 covered vans, 37 CNG vehicles and 98 motorcycles.
The highest number of cases-415-was recorded in the Traffic-Gulshan division, involving 44 buses, 5 trucks, 20 covered vans, 49 CNG vehicles and 209 motorcycles.
During the drive, a total of 392 vehicles were dumped and 69 vehicles were wrecked.
The DMP Traffic Division said such drives will continue to ensure traffic discipline and road safety in the metropolitan area.
