
DHAKA, April 13, 2026 (BSS) - The Wari Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 48 individuals in the last 24 hours during separate operations conducted across different areas under its jurisdiction.
According to a police press release, the arrests were made as part of routine drives targeting various criminal activities.
Among those detained, 19 were arrested from the Jatrabari Police Station area, 15 from Kadamtali, 5 from Demra, 4 from Shyampur, 4 from Gandaria, and 1 from the Wari Police Station area.
The arrested individuals include Md. Sayem (20), Md. Biplob Mridha (23), Md. Al-Amin, Md. Antar (32), Md. Rofiq (36), Md. Mahin (21), Md. Babul Hossain (40), Shanta, Maleka (50), Abdul Ali (64), Jesmin (45), Md. Imtazul Haque Choton (22), Md. Zahirul Islam Iqbal (24), Most. Ayesha Akter (30), Md. Shahjalal (40), Md. Rokon Bepari (24), Md. Nahid (25), Md. Jibon (22), Rajib alias Sajib Biswas (40), Helal Bepari alias Sagor Bepari (22), Md. Hridoy (22), Md. Sujon (20), Md. Arman (25), Nazmul Hasan Riaz (19), Md. Sohag Kazi (19), Md. Nur Alam (28), Md. Mridul Khandakar (25), Md. Abul Kalam Azad (56), Md. Suman (25), Md. Parvez Hossain alias Anas (30), Md. Juel Rana (32), Md. Imran (22), Md. Mizanur Rahman (28), Md. Sagor (27), Badal Mollah (33), Md. Bijoy (19), Md. Sakim Hossain (30), Md. Rony (26), Md. Mainuddin (20), Md. Omar Faruk (25), Md. Naim, Md. Alauddin, Md. Al Amin (34), Sadiya Akter alias Banna (28), Shahina Begum, and Md. Rakib (30).
Police said that legal proceedings against the arrested individuals are currently underway.
Authorities also stated that such drives will continue to maintain law and order and ensure public safety in the capital.
