
DHAKA, April 21, 2026 (BSS)- State Minister for Land and Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs Barrister Mir Mohammed Helal Uddin today called upon field-level officials to be more proactive in ensuring efficient, transparent and people-friendly land services.
Giving instructions to maintain work momentum, he said, “All types of tasks must be resolved quickly. Procrastination is not desirable in any way when it comes to public service.”
The state minister made the remarks while visiting the Land Building located in capital’s Satrasta.
He was accompanied by Senior Secretary of the Land Ministry A.S.M. Saleh Ahmed, Director General (Grade-1) of the Land Records and Surveys Department Dr. Md. Mahmud Hasan, Additional Secretary (Development Sub-division) of the Land Ministry Md. Emdadul Haque Chowdhury, and Private Secretary to the State Minister (Deputy Secretary) Md. Ashraful Islam.
During the visit, Mir Helal visited the Land Museum, Child Day-care Centre, Social Media Monitoring Cell, Land Service Centre, and the Land Service Call Centre room. He exchanged views with the concerned staff and inquired about various activities.
Addressing the officials and employees, Mir Helal said those engaged in land management must act like the role of servants. They must remain dedicated to assisting the general public, who are the true owners of the land.
Then he also instructed everyone to be heedful to regular attendance of officials and employees in the office, arrival and departure on time.
Winding up the speech Mir Helal emphasized the importance of cleanliness in the department.
