DHAKA, May 27, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Land and Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Affairs Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin has extended heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the countrymen and the global Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha.

In a message issued today, Helal said Eid-ul-Azha teaches the values of sacrifice, compassion, humanity and strong social harmony among all people regardless of religion, caste or ethnicity.

He said the noble ideals of self-sacrifice inspire equality, goodwill, responsibility and dedication to the welfare of humanity.

The state minister mentioned that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman deeply believes that the unified spirit of all religions embodies patriotism, peace and human welfare.

Calling upon people to celebrate the holy Eid-ul-Azha with devotion to patriotism and human welfare, Mir Helal Uddin recalled a visionary statement of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, saying: “True leadership can never be built without sacrifice and honesty. Service and self-sacrifice are essential to earn the trust of the people. People’s hearts must be won not through force or intimidation, but by standing for justice, giving the highest priority to people’s rights and fairness, and through generosity.”

Highlighting the Prime Minister’s vision for public welfare, Mir Helal said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has always expressed commitment to building a discrimination-free and self-reliant Bangladesh under the theme ‘Bangladesh Above All’, where the rights of every citizen and social justice will be ensured.

He said the true significance of Qurbani is not limited to the sacrifice of animals, but lies in surrendering inner arrogance and negative instincts with complete obedience and sacrifice for Almighty Allah.

He said the central objective of this year’s Eid should be sharing the joy equally among all sections of society and further strengthening mutual brotherhood.

The state minister urged the countrymen to perform Qurbani in an environment- friendly manner while maintaining proper hygiene and cleanliness.

He wished everyone good health, longevity, peace, prosperity and overall wellbeing.
