DHAKA, Feb 28, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh national kabaddi team won the five-
match kabaddi test series 4-1 beating visiting Nepal kabaddi team by 45-27
points in the ultimate match held at Palton ground adjoining the national
stadium in the capital today (Friday).
The winners' led the first half by 19-15 points.
The last match of the series was merely a formally for Bangladesh kabaddi
team as the hosts earlier won the series with one match in hand.
Youth and Sports Secretary Md Rezaul Maksud Jahedi was the chief guest in the
prize distribution ceremony and distributed the prizes.
National Sports Council Secretary Aminul Islam was present as special guest.
Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) vice president and Inspector General of
Prisons Brigadier General Syed Md Motaher Hossain, vice president Hafizur
Rahman Khan, additional IGP of Police Abu Naser Mohammad Khaled, DIG of
Police Md Moniruzzaman, BKF general secretary SM Newaz Sohag and joint
secretary Israel Howladar were also present in the prize distribution
ceremony.
Earlier, Bangladesh beat Nepal by 53-29 points in the first match but Nepal
staged a brilliant fight back to level the series defeating Bangladesh by
narrow margin of 45-42 points in the second match.
Bangladesh again took lead in the series beating the Himalayan side by 42-37
points in the third match and finally won the series beating Nepal by 49-24
points in the fourth match.
