DHAKA, Feb 28, 2025 (BSS)-Gulshan Youth Club Women's team's unbeaten run in
the Women's Premier League (WDPL) finally came to an end when Mohammedan put
a stunning effort to stun them by 90 runs in a low-scoring game at Sher-e-
Bangla National Cricket Stadium today.

By doing so, Mohammedan snapped Gulshan's unbeaten streak, handing them first
defeat in fifth match.

It was, however, Mohammedan's third victory fourth match that put them in the
second spot in the point table. Despite the defeat, Gulshan stayed atop.

Captain Salma Khatun was instrumental in the victory with a sterling all
round performance.

Put into bat first, Mohammedan were bundled out for just 157 in 48.2 overs
with captain Salma Khatun making a crucial 50. Her knock indeed propelled the
side past 150 which looked unlikely as Mohammedan lost wickets at regular
intervals.

Gulshan were skittled out for just 67 in 26.2 overs. Ritu Moni who made 28
and Suraiya Azmim who scored 16 only reached double digits.

Fariha Trishna claimed 4-22 and Salma Khatun took 3-8 after scoring 50 with
the willow, to wreck havoc on Gulshan batters.
