DHAKA, March 3, 2025 (BSS)- The country's leading batter Liton Das finally is
set to play the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) when new comer Gulshan Cricket
Club (GCC) roped him in.

Gulshan formed a team, mostly with the young players, almost all of whom just
came from the Bangladesh Under-19 team. Liton was recruited in a bid to guide
those players as a senior batter.

Liton had initially picked up his transfer token after failing to agree on
remuneration with Abahani Club Limited.

He, however, didn't play the first game of the GCC today against Mohammedan
Sporting Club, which formed a formidable team this year, led by ever-
inspiring Tamim Iqbal.

Tamim in fact played a key role in helping Liton to be roped in by the GCC.

While Liton Das finally got a team to play the DPL, pacer Mustafizur Rahman
is yet to decide on his future in the country's most coveted league, which
got the list A status in 2013.

Mustafizur was released by Prime Bank before the players' transfer and now he
will require a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from his former club to join
another team.

But reports suggested that some Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises have
expressed interest in signing him.
