DHAKA, March 3, 2025 (BSS)-Mohammedan Sporting Club Women's cricket team went atop of the Women's Dhaka Premier League (WDPL) point table after comprehensively beating Kalabagan Krira Chakra by nine wickets at Bashundhara Sports Complex in Dhaka today.

This was their fourth victory in five matches, which propelled them to the top by edging past Sheltech Cricket Academy on net run rate. Sheltech meanwhile won all four matches so far they played.

Shanjida Akhter Meghla was the chief architect of the victory by claiming 5-14 in nine over.

Thanks to her disciplined bowling, Mohammedan wrapped Kalabagan Women's up for just 85 in 47 over. Only two batters could reach double digits with Tomalika Sumona staying not out on 20 and captain Disha Biswas making 13. But the highest 24 came from the sundries.

Mohammedan reached 86-1 for a victory in just 13.3 over with Sharmin Supta leading the way with 34 ball-40 not out, hitting seven fours. Murshida Khatun was not out on 22 alongside Supta.
