DHAKA, Aug 30, 2025 (BSS)-Bangladesh Under-19 captain Azizul Hakim Tamim
expressed his desire to visit Lord's, considered as the 'home of cricket' and
England captain Ben Stokes as his side is set to leave Dhaka tomorrow
(Sunday) for a five-match youth ODI series in England.

The Bangladesh youngsters will play the series as part of their preparation
for the upcoming Under-19 World Cup.

All of the matches will be held in three venues-Loughborough, Bristol and
Beckenham but Hakim didn't want to miss the Lord's experience.

"It's no wonder that every cricketer has a dream to play in Lord's. I am no
exception. We have no matches in Lord's but still I will try to visit
Lord's," Hakim said while speaking to the media today at Sher-e-Bangla
National Cricket Stadium.

"I like some of the cricketers in the current England team. Stokes is one of
them. I will try to meet him also."
Hakim hopes to gain experience from this tour keeping the future in mind, "We
will gain a lot of experience by playing in England."

"The World Cup won't be held here but we may come here again with HP or any
other aged level team. The experience of playing here will be useful."

Hakim also spoke on their team combination "If you look at our combination...
now there are some injuries like Emon's injury. So those who are coming now
have a chance."

He informed that his side will play a series against Afghanistan in October.

"Probably we'll play against Afghanistan in October. We are preparing in that
way. This is also a good experience."
